 Classes for Tole Painting, Acrylic and Oil Phyllis' enthusiasm for painting is infectious Tole Painting Monday 6pm - 9pm Tuesday through Thursday 9am - 12pm Beginner Oil Landscapes Tuesday 12:30pm - 3:30pm 
Born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada in 1929, Phyllis married Herb Faszer and began a family. Phyllis and her family of five children moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1961, where her observations of nature and an experience at the Josephine County Fair sparked her initial interest in painting. Shortly thereafter, Phyllis enrolled in a tole painting class and has had a vivacious appetite for painting ever since. Eventually Phyllis entered her own paintings in the Josephine County Fair and won many blue ribbons and best of show in both student and professional tole painting categories.
In 1982, Phyllis began teaching tole painting and soon expanded her knowledge of painting to acrylics and oils, specializing in realistic landscapes, still life paintings and tole painting on specialty hardwood pieces. Phyllis was not satisfied with only teaching painting but has also owned and operated three craft stores in Grants Pass, Oregon, one craft store in Phoenix, Arizona and has taken part in many craft shows in Oregon to sell her unique works of art. Currently, Phyllis teaches beginner through advanced painting classes here at Art Emporium. Phyllis' classes include tole painting, Monday (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and Tuesday through Thursday (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and beginner oil landscapes, Tuesday (12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) Come in and join her class today!
